Now today when I tried it to run the steam got updated to 1.1.72. Last week I didn't have any problems with version 1.1.69. USB Devices connected: Keyboard and mouse I honestly believe my inexperience and ignorance with Linux is to blame but I won't know until someone who does know corrects me.Power Supply used: Official RP power supply I've left a lot of detail out regarding a handful of things I've tried.
Or just help getting controllers set up in buster. I plan to go to sleep now, but hopefully someone has experience with this and can help with finding the right os and and aid in setting my things up. So many terminal prompts typed to inevitable failure. My best result was when I put on an older version of pi os (buster) which had steam link working but I couldn't get the controllers to work. But also many searches showing the opposite. Multiple searches showed that 1) a RPi would work great, and 2) xbox dongle is plug and play. My wife wants to keep playing it takes two and a handful of other older games in my library. My goal here is to use the raspberry pi to play my pc games via steam link in my living room with 2 Xbox wireless controllers connected via the USB dongle.
Have had all sorts of issues and been down so many google searches that came up empty handed and my ignorance is highly suspect. I'm about 5 hours new to Linux and raspberry pi's. Edit: forgot to mention it's a RPi 4b 4gb.
